Who we are

EP Normand is a specialist variable speed drive company. Metals, cable, paper and plastic industries are typical customers. Our suppliers in the countries of origin train our staff, and all have recognized engineering qualifications. We are able to supply a turnkey solution in this business, and supply a 24 hour back-up service.

A standard off-the-shelve range of products with associated expertise is offered, to solve the most demanding applications in the processing industry. The products are user friendly and easily programmable for the most arduous applications. The local knowledge base for the products is excellent, due to a history of over thirty years in the Southern African market.

The company works to ISO standards, ensuring uncompromising quality, and on-time delivery.

What we offer

Design
EP Normand is able to do system design due to our many years of experience in the drive industry. Correct design and matching of products for applications as intricate as electronic gearing, cut-to length lines, flying saws and accurate strip guiding are standard services.

EP Normand also has it’s own panel wiring shop, able to handle any size project. This includes a fully verified motor control and power distribution system, according to IEC 61439-1/2.

Complete systems are designed in-house. The staff of EP Normand has extensive knowledge and experience of drive systems in all industries.

Technical Back-up
All drives that EP Normand distributes carry a 12 month warranty. EP Normand has a comprehensive, fast turnaround service as we keep spare parts ex-stock. A team of technicians are available to assist you on an any day, all hour basis. Technicians are fully trained on all the products available from EP Normand.

Quality Standards
All suppliers are ISO 9000 registered companies, and EP Normand also has a system in place, and is adhered to.
Further in order to improve overall management, EP Normand has implemented the SAP Management System.

Training
Process training is given on site on all projects undertaken. EP Normand also offers product training in our well equipped training room in Wadeville. Training is given on AC Drives, DC Drives, Soft Starters and DSE Lite Programming.
